Condit, Ohio: J. A. Caldwell, Published 1877, folio (17.25 inches), rebound in buckram, retain the title section of the original cloth front cover, 229 pp, good copy, some skips in the pagination, but from our comparison of the contents page to the maps and views, lacking only pp. 157-58, a double-page map of Millville, otherwise, all maps and views complete, including large folding Clarion map (bad conditition). Generally good to very good, vibrant tinting by the masterful Krebs, lithographer, handsome maps, with many views showing the early stages of the oil country development - derricks, businesses, townships, in the heart of the early Western PA oil boom. Light occasional foxing, a handful of short edgetears, but most maps and views in good to very good condition, fewer than ten with short tears, most of which have been neatly and almost invisibly mended. Title page trimmed and somewhat worn as is the table of contents page. Good.
