Pittsburgh: Caliban Books & Tip Type Press, Limited to one hundred signed and numbered copies, 11 x 17 broadside, published 2017, hand-printed in black and orange on thick gray cottony paper, Shortly after the election, Yale historian Timothy Snyder, best known for his works on the history of genocide in the embattled lands between eastern and western Europe, issued his Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century, succinct and motivating calls to action to combat the incoming and potentially fascist Trump administration. We were so inspired by his moving and optimistic text, which was widely circulated in online forums, that we asked our friends at Tip Type here in town to hand print it as a broadside, with ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF THEM TO GO TO ACLU. Snyder has personally signed these (and declared himself delighted with them) and endorsed our efforts. Support progressive causes in these dark times! We also have unsigned copies available, for half the price. Fine.
