Book Of The Fortnight

Late Shiff-era productions by the Limited Editions Club

This fortnight, we highlight a number of recent acquisitions representing some of the finest work of the Limited Editions Club.  Founded in 1929 by George Macy (1900-1956), the Limited Editions Club publishes limited quantities of finely bound and illustrated editions of classics, with an occasional contemporary title.

After a few brief change of hands, Sidney Shiff acquired the LEC in 1978 and and focused on curating prominent contemporary artists to contribute original work for the editions, making these volumes extremely desirable for both the book and fine art collector.
